40 Days of Prayer: Day 23

"Blessed are those who have regard for the weak; the Lord delivers them in times of trouble.  The Lord protects and preserves them.  They are counted among the blessed in the land.  He does not give them over to the desire of their foes" (Psalm 41:1-2).

The Super Bowl is one week from today.  This is when the two teams usually arrive in the host city along with more than 2,500 members of the media.  The eyes of the world will be on New Orleans, and these athletes have an opportunity to be heard by millions of people.  Pray that these people of influence would have regard for the weak and would lend their voice to cooperate with the efforts of those seeking to recognize  the victims of this hideous crime.
