Those who are familiar with Assumption College for Sisters (ACS) in Denville, NJ -- founded and sponsored by the Sisters of Christian Charity -- know that it exists primarily to educate women called to a life of consecration to God and of service in the Roman Catholic Church. Subsequently, its tagline is, "Teach a Sister, Touch the World." Sometimes, it is important to realize just how unsafe that world is and to pray for all those who minister in some of the most dangerous places in the world.
Recently, Sister Joseph Spring, SCC, President of ACS, shared a message from ACS graduate, Missionary Sister of the Precious Blood Jacinta (Cinta) Mutisya, who ministers in the Sudan. Sister Cinta, principal of a Catholic primary school in the Nuba Mountains in Kauda, Sudan, has witnessed firsthand the atrocities being committed there, including last week's bombing of her primary school. Click here to read the story and to view the video in which you will see Sister Cinta. Continue to pray for this situation -- for those who perpetrate the bombings, their victims and all those who live and minister in the Sudan.
